Last year there was a similar incident, almost an accident as this one, at Lanzarote in Canary Islands with a MD-83 involved. Aircraft took off from Lanzarote and suddenly lost altitude, came close to the only highway on the island by 5-10 meters of the ground and finally got enough speed to climb. Would be a similarity in both cases due to a fail in Take off warning configuration system? should all MDīs world fleet be inspected and grounded meanwhile? itīs already been done in the past with other aircrafts.
