Bendix King has recently introduced the AV8OR a new non-gramin choice to the handheld GPS market.

Touch screen display and nice form factor (less than 1" thick) full aviation & auto databases for Europe or US, optional weather
In the US the Anywhere Map ATC is another interesting choice but doesn't seem to be available with European data

The Garmin's are excellent products but choice and competition are always a good thing.
