If I understand it correctly, it was actually a wrong placement of the wires because it is in a different order on each specific type of Airbus, yet the pin is the same on all types? In the military the ground personnel visually checks the flight controls before departure. Why not in civil? Shame on AI for messing up the design like that! But having said that never forget that things are always designed in a certain way for a certain reason.
