I remember I was flying up to New York from Philadelphia early one Saturday morning in the twinstar and when I was on approach I had to let the Autopilot fly the ILS because I didn't want to be a little high and miss spotting the ground and then have to go around and hold somewhere. But those approaches are pretty cool, scary at first, but cool

anyways...

I was just thinking about this last night. I have flown Diamond's aircrafts, and they are all composite. I remember on the DA20 "Eclipse" the first item on the preflight checklist was to check the structural temperature indicator (aircraft's thermometer). If it was too hot outside you couldn't fly because your wings could melt off or something like that. So how does a composite Diamond Twinstar survive in the desert...heat?
