Learnt to fly at RVAC in '89, good school and some great instructors. Even back then it could get very hairy in the circuit or coming back in form the TA. ATC did their best but sometimes it all got too much, remember being asked by the then duty controller...XXX your position?......i'm number 3 on finals behind XXX....rodger....Cheiftan XXX climb to 8500 contact Centre good day....XXX..no....XXX clear to land runway blah blah blah.
Think even back then with the airship parked in the corner that things seemed a bit too busy for the resorses at hand.
Feel for the Controllers and staff at RVAC, thoughts to family.
And of course, the nightmare last seconds of the pilots life. RIP.
For the #$%^ THAT WORK IN THE MEDIA.....nothing to say can express my disgust and dislike of what you free loaders do. I shall boycott your paper and your company's other 'products' as only a consmuer can.
Burn.
