Not sure if this is world wide but here in Australia Dell are offering Vista as the standard OS but will 'downgrade' your purchase to XP if you so wish! For the equivalent of GBP400.00 you can have a brand new computer with a dual core processor and at least 1 Gig of RAM. Worth a look at
