Have tried it. After a while it feels quite uncomfortable, shorter flights not a problem. Your voice will sound a bit metallic over the radio, and your colleague may confuse you with ATC as it's difficult to hear any difference between intercom and radio coms.
I definitely prefer a good ANR headset such as Sennheiser HMEC CAP-25 or the BOSE. Quieter, more comfortable and better sound quality. I like the size though...
