Hello Rotorboater,
I have had problems with all the major companies when I first started to fly, eventually Norwich union done me a policy with hours restricted to 100 per year - great for me as a PPL but useless for commercial boys and girls.
I now have a policy with life cover only with HSBC without any hour limitation.

PS try everyone even those that were crap last time - they seem to change their policy towards sectors on a regular basis - or how about work taking a policy out for all of you - ie death in service is quite cheap for a company to do (I know I am doing it for my staff at the moment) and they do not want individual details for members of staff joining the policy.
