I would be very wary of coming here without company accommodation provided. Even if you budget on the figures being bandied around (and 20k rent, 5k utilities a month is probably fair) for THIS year, rents have skyrocketed year on year, and there is no guarantee allowances will keep pace. Imagine being here, bonded, having moved the family, then finding you can't afford to live because the rent has doubled
Most companies employing expats in the UAE either provide housing, or a MUCH bigger allowance than that.
