I was born in middle east, made the move to AUS 11 years ago, my honest opinion about Jordan is that.. In Jordan its very easy to spent 1000 but hard to get $1 from them even if you have worked for it, DONT U EVER THINK OF living there, no customer service, taxi will rip you off no question and the list goes on and on. Not a good place to live for sure. Not to mention that if you walk with your wife in the poor part of Amman 100 men will look at her and want to eat her even if she is the ugliest woman ever..
Hahahahahh... True! and not true... Why would u want to go through the poor parts of amman?? just avoid it all togeter... nothing to see there anyway.. And I feel for u that your wife is the ugliest woman ever.. but I also have great respect for you that u still stick by her side.. kudos!
There are tones of worse places to live in... Taxis will rip you off in most countries in the world if you're not a native.. probably less so in amman then in the rest of the ME...
