Allanmack, a little harsh I feel. I was merely recounting my experience and whilst I know the rules on baggage I dont carry a set of scales around with me to weigh each bag before checking in! My total was within the limits for the 2 bags I had paid for, and given four were travelling our total baggage allowance was twice that anyway. I just thought they did themselves no favours by insisting one bag was over by 1 Kg when the scond was under by 4 Kg. They just wanted me to pay more when all I had to do was move some kit from one bag to the other which only served to hold up the check in queue.
