The use of the word jealous at the beginning of your post is most appropriate because therein lies the problem. The "sideways walkers" who have clearly identified themselves here know that word well. They were reared on it. Perhaps part of the sense you wrote may sink in but I doubt it. Fortunately it seems there is a lot of reasonable people frequenting these boards which is good to see.

P.S. There is a single Chinese word for "sideways walker". The word is bahu and it translates literally as: a person with set ideas, someone who gets in the way and is always causing log jams, a churlish person, a person to be avoided. Much like........ here.
