Low Level Bucc
The Buccaneer airframe was renowned for its ruggedness - at least in earlier days - I recall an S2 parked in 736 hangar ( mid 60's) - it had hit a power line ( 1 off those strung between pylons somewhere in the NE of Scotland) and said cable had trashed the Blue Parrot and then got stretched across both intakes ( leaving suitable indentations on both stainless steel intake edges) before it presumably went 'twang' - both Speys had strands of wire wrapped around the LP stages - and I mean a lots of strands - After the wire strike the aircraft recovered safely to Lossie. !!
