Crew Control will input into Crew Direct an aircraft change. It may or may not have pilots assigned but will show an aircraft type change. Several days later or as the date approaches, the original aircraft type with one or two new pilots.
Crew Control will do this with Training but not as often, the aircraft change is simple.
I have watched this happen and called Crew Control to be put back on the original flight and they did.
Crew Controllers are trying it on and saving EFP with the sanction of the GMA.
If the crew controllers get caught, they are given a slap on the wrist by the GMA. Wink Wink.
Crew Controllers are saving the company heaps of money doing this and it is only you who can stop it. Either you want the money or don’t, it’s your decision.
They have been doing it for years but most don’t want to put their head above the parapet by asking to be put back on the original flight. It’s that fear thing “The Management” adores so much.
Will we ever learn?
