Hour Building

Hi all
I am looking for advice on constructive hour building towards my ATPL. I am not sure as to what I am supposed to do. As I live in Scotland I thought maybe about hiring a plane and flying into the likes of Edinburgh and Glasgow to get some experiance flying in controlled and busy Airspace ? Should I maybe contact a couple of flying schools I am interested in going to after I complete the ATPL Exams and ask them for advice ? I notice Tayside Aviation do Hours Building Courses and tuition if anybody is using them for hour building what is it like ? I think it would be difficult when you are used to a
C172 when you are maybe going onto a Seneca for ME and maybe ME CPL which is a much larger aircraft any advice ?
PM if you like

Thanks ATIS31
