Multi million pound jet bristling with INUs,GPS and a navigator manages to find airfield on time on a nice day - and from a given direction too!!!
You would be surprised how many of them don't arrive on time - usually late, (they tell us what time to expect them) or from the direction they have stated and sometimes a different number of them too - two aircraft may arrive as one, or three. Passing W-E has been known to be E-W (in fact almost any heading you care to pick from 185 to 355 when passing W-E and the reciprocal for E-W). The culprits have invariably been MALE. (Can't speak for the navigators as we never hear them speaking to us)
Oh, and whilst the weather was nice over Shobdon itself, there were some pretty grotty patches around with some nasty, heavy showers.
However, all are MOST welcome and will always have an audience on the ground here waiting for their arrival.
PLEASE keep up your flying visits, we really enjoy them
If anyone knows who this pilot was, please would you pass on our thanks?
