It does look like it could get a bit flaky but probably has years left in it
Correct Clearedtoreenter, I'm sure it would have. It's not evident in this particular photo, but the 'staining' (the very first sign of corrosion) was right throughout the wings and had spread to the top and bottom spar caps. It was very difficult to tell how far it had gone. The fuselage was as clean as a whistle. The guys in the states that did the pre-purchase weren't too concerned by it and in fact didn't mention it. I actually had to ask them about it before they closed up the wing and insist that they inspect the spar carrythrough for corrosion.
The shop has a good reputation, but I have to say, I was rather disapointed with the thoroughness of the prepurchase inspection.
It all could've meant lot's of dollars down the track, so we left it.
