The failure has wiped out several important instruments and during that time the fate of the airplane has been left entirely to the hands of the pilots.
Good God!! I didn't know it was the electronics in the aircraft that flew the plane rather than the pilots at the controls! Gone are the days when a pilot could rely on a standby AH, ASI, ALT and compass to "SAFELY" aviate! An FCU failure nowadays in most companies would constitute a MAYDAY situ!
However, it is possible to make slight modifications and pilots are able to regain control of the airplane.
I take it the "PILOTS" were spinning out of control or diving for the ground then?
R04stb33f, mate, i suggest you go back to the morning coffee and enjoy it!
