I rented a house when my Wife came out to stay and there were several good sites with local properties.
If you are intending to hire a car I would recommend
Cheap Car Hire Excess Insurance | Insurance4carhire.com and the local Hertz (in the Goodyear Ford dealership) does cracking deals.
Search for Goodyear and Avondale as both are close to the airport. You can go further afield but there are roadworks on the I-10 currently so you may not want to risk traffic.
