. And as a (partially irrelevant) aside I once worked a job with a pre-tax salary double what I am earning now as cabin crew. After tax? The difference is only $500 a month. A bigger figure on the nominated salary isn't always smarter in Australia.
In fact if my base was $55k then I would probably take home no more than I currently do. The Oz govt helping itself to the difference at my expense...
