I simply couldn't be ar$ed to rise to the bait! 35 years in the Flying Prevention Branch and he still couldn't cope with mixed traffic without forcing people into incessant orbits.....

Back to the trhread though. If I recall correctly, losing external 200v during pre-flight preparation before the AEO had established aircraft power was a complete pain. The one thing the AEO must NOT do is to ask for external AC again until after landing and shut down checks had been completed. The reason being that the rotating loads would be running down, and re-applying 200v would probably cause main power fuses to blow.

Loss of external power during start was one of the earliest OCU exercises when I did the course some 31 years ago.
