There is no global pilot shortage, and if there were it was short lived.
Have a look in the US forum and at the serious rogering our counterparts are receiving there. They are trying to hold on to what little they have left of a career, T & C's and salary. Furloughs left right and centre, and that is after the lay-offs in non-union operations.
These guys and girls are starting to go global to stay afloat.
