Fair call too, I just re-read my previous post. I was intending it only for the SO position (which I made no mention of, oops). But like you said, it's up to the new employee's choice if they decide to take it.
If VA gave me an opertunity to take an FO spot, then yeah, I'd take it and would no doubt not meet the expectations of the next guys. So I agree where your coming from. I guess you can't win 'em all
