The rumour is the DCP will be going back to the line early next year after a suitable bedding in period for the new CP. He will fly the line for a period of time doing all the good trips before he retires as well.
He will be doing trips relative to his seniority - he does not get priority on the line.
I don't think you know the guy or have any idea of how much work he puts in to help his peers. (if they want it)
