Sorry, I can't leave that one go - have the airlines there changed utterly in the last week? I have one US buddy who went home on leave, checked his bank account, saw he was paid 1/3 of what he was due, rang up the Ops Director of the airline to ask what was happening, and was told that they were afraid he wouldn't come back from his leave so they paid him 1/3, and when he arrived back in BOM they would transfer the balance. Another Captain ended up in a direct e mail correspondence with the boss of his Indian airline (one of the above ones you have been advised to deal with directly) in an attempt to get paid after a 4th month of not being paid on time, he resigned shortly after that. There are only 2 airlines there that I know of who I haven't heard a complaint about payments in the past 3 years. Anyway, you get the idea.
I'd also suggest if you don't want to get hosed that it's a reasonable precaution to think twice about taking work with an agency that is from the country in which you will be working as a contractor...
