No doubt there will be the usual naysayers, (the smart-arse brigade whose main contribution to aviation is derogatory comments on PPRuNe about people who are actually getting off their bums and doing something). We have this nast antipodean habit of belittling our own - why?
Yes it may not be the first but the potential is there for it to be the most practical. McDonalds weren't the first to make hamburgers but they knew how to sell 'em. Yes somebody will get hurt but so they did early with aeroplanes.
