what is this comparison with ryanair and BA ?? 2 totally different operations,with customers at opposite ends of the spectrum.both fulfill a market niche and both have admirers and critics.to compare the two is ludicrous.travelling on business to hong kong,company paying for the travel,book at ba.com.....taking the kids to see the in-laws living in rural france,ryanair wins hands down.BA are concentrating on long haul business class and first traffic.ryanair are offering cheap fares to obscure european destinations.both will survive and eventually prosper,but to compare the two in rediculous.the BA first and business class product is superb and great fun if the company pays the fare and as a result will always be in demand.ryanair offer cheap,no frills travel on short haul trips.....cheap,nasty,but usually on time,you get what you pay for.i despise the drinks from plastic sachets with no ice,just dreadfull .but france for £50 return,who is complaining ?i just fear that fuel at the price it is,will destroy the locost model and make the full service airlines the choice in future.unless you are travelling to one of these obscure destinations,only accessible by ryanair and the like.you know the ones,just a few miles from the remote holiday home !
