Flight from The Netherlands into Blackbushe

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, and have already read some usefull in formation using the search function.

I'm planning to fly VFR from Hilversum, the Netherlands to Blackbushe within a few weeks.

To get things straight, I would like to be sure on the procedures, as EGLK is in a pretty busy piece of airspace!

My routing will be pretty straightforward, from DVR to DET, BIG and OCK VOR's. If I understand correctly, Farnborough Radar is the unit to talk to from DET onwards, and they will also give the clearance to cross the EGLF ATZ? I would be approaching the ATZ from the SE to avoid the danger areas NE of EGLF.

Then, correct me if I'm wrong, EGLK has an overhead joining procedure (we don't have that a lot here in The Netherlands!) and mid-downwind joining is to be avoided.

Ofcourse I will also contact EGLK beforehand for a briefing and the PPR, but I was wondering if any of you can help me with some practical tips!

Thanks a lot!
