The D runway is currently under construction and is due to open around 2010. Construction on the new international terminal has also commenced on the site of the old terminal (western side of the airport). China Airlines has been operating from NRT's terminal 2 for some time now but Shanghai Airlines, ANA, JAL and Korean (maybe others) are currently operating limited "charter" flights (in reality scheduled services classed as charter by the authorities) into HND from HKG, Korea etc but once the D runway and terminal open a number of Asian and Japanese carriers are expected to operate mostly intra-Asian services from HND on a scheduled basis from that time.
