The majority are lucky enough to have parents who can fund their career or at least be in a position to offer a loan with preferential rates and repayment options
. Others have had previous well paying careers (usually in IT/Communications) or have remortgaged their homes.
HSBC used to offer loans to pilots but last I heard these are only now available to integrated schools, these generally need to be secured against properties anyway.
