Looks like this is an us versus them discussion.
Simple fact.
The cabin crew works in the cabin.
The FD crew works at the pointy end.
The Commander is responsible for both.
What works best?
Well, for myself personally, as the Commander, I tell the cabin chief that they are in charge in the back, and if they need my assistance, just ask.
Result?
Total co-operation is assured.
