Having watched the proceedings yesterday, i was both disappointed and impressed in equal measures by the B-1B. It arrived without being announced high and slow in the murk and then did a large circuit before coming back through (over the TAG terminal side) at great speed and with wings swept back and engines roaring, causing babies to cry and car alarms to go off and then it was gone.....
With all due respect what was the point of it coming ? Surely it could have done a touch and go and/or several more passes of varying style. It had come from Faiford, so endurance can't have been an issue. It just seemed to be ill thought out and over before most of the crowd knew what had happened.
