Sad indeed...I am with CW...many fond memories of an era that we won't see again.
I think the last 'miracle' was dragging P2-SEP/VH-GKE (C185) out of the aircraft graveyard by the fence at the top of 35L and restoring her to pristine flying condition in, what became, the last months.
I will admit to being a little surprised Dennis did that...he never struck me as an old softy when it came to aircraft. I was impressed.
