I suspect the key period will be 1 to 3 months hence. Loads in the immediate aftermath will of course be affected by no-shows and cancellations, but these are not likely to be significant enough to cause a large reduction in volumes. However, potential pax who would normally be booking now for travel in the next few months, will no doubt hold off until the situation becomes clearer. Companies such as Travelbag and Trailfinders are reporting large reducitons in leisure bookings for the US, with a good deal of substitution going on for Australia and the Far East destinations.

I guess only once the level of advanced bookings are understood, will a decision be taken on UK-US routes?

On a similar note, what future now for the PIA flights that route through MAN on their way to/from Pakistan & JFK?
