Long before the KC-767A would ever become reality, the A330MRTT will be in service with the RAAF and other nations.
But would that be
exactly the same as a KC-45 ? Somehow I doubt it, and I assume both proposals promised to meet the required delivery schedules. Would Boeing have subsequently encountered production delays ? Would NG/EADS ? Judging from recent events I'd say the likely answer is yes to both.
