Derry airport strike goes ahead - closed for 2 days
Derry Airport will be closed on Wednesday 16 July and Thursday 17 July after talks over a pay dispute collapse.
The strike is part of Unite union's UK-wide industrial action, and they are insisting on an all member strike. Derry City Council had called on the union Unite to change its decision to strike at the City of Derry Airport.
The council had hoped to secure an exemption for airport staff from the strike.
A spokesperson for Derry City Council said they were "disappointed that an agreement could not be reached".
