Single engine performance
Mixed fleet flying Part 91 commercial operations but we carry no passengers. The Kingair is restricted to the performance data for loss of an engine, which restricts the airfields it can fly out of. The Baron is routinely flown into small strips, gravel and with obstacles both ends, all performance based on two engines.
In fact the takeoff distance with one engine failed is much greater for the Baron than it is for the Kingair, so how is the policy justified? Should all airplanes have to conform to single engine performance? Or none?
