This problem has been on-going for the last few months.
"
6 June 2008: Dublin Airport has been experiencing some flight delays today arising from a malfunction with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) radar system which occurred late yesterday evening. Following the intervention of IAA engineers the radar system was restored in less than I hour.
Even though the system is now operating normally some minor traffic restrictions have been implemented on arriving traffic as a safety precaution pending the identification of the cause of the problem and further testing.
These precautionary restrictions will be removed as soon possible.
The Authority regrets the inconvenience to the travelling public.
ENDS"
It reoccurred last week and traffic was capped at 11 arrivals per sector now i hear it's down to just 7 per sector.
I wonder who signed off on this after it happened the first time.
Considering the Boss wanted to rush back to normal service so as not to upset the Customers too much considering he had no report on what the problem was and how it would be fixed.
Remember it's SAFETY first not last.

Serious egg on the face of Thales and HP i would imagine.
