Your name seems to suggest it all really.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, who has the requisite skill set, appropriate licensing and the ability to pass the interview and the simulator check, irrespective of race, creed, gender or colour can work at BA.
Statistics can be manipulated to whatever you want them to be. Perhaps, statistically, less minorities (which if the country was 50/50 wouldn't really be classified as a minority anymore) want to be airline pilots. I don't know as I am not a vital statistician (Carol Vordermann anyone?) but that would be my guess.
It seems to me that this is an argument only for those who wish to make it so.
Anyway enough mindless twaddle, thread creep.
