Anyone know if there is any truth in the following?
Following its preparations on Friday for its daily flying demonstrations at Farnborough International Air Show from week 14th-20th July, the Airbus A380 development aircraft MSN 004 is spending Saturday 12th July demonstrating its capabilities to more than half a million people in South, West and North West England.
Flown by Airbus pilots Peter Chandler and Frank Chapman, the A380 is taking up invitations to makes its public debut at some of the largest and most prestigious public events in the country, as well as making its first appearance at the North West's major airports.
Manchester Airport
- an approach and go-around at 1.20pm
Liverpool John Lennon Airport
- an approach and go-around at 1.25pm
A low level flight along the River Mersey (weather permitting), visible from the Liverpool and Birkenhead waterfronts - in recognition of Liverpool's status as 2008 European Capital of Culture (between 1.25pm and 1.30pm).
Wirral Show
- a display at approx 1.30pm (This will take place over the coast, west of New Brighton and is weather dependent).
