Brindabella is running its second J41 groundcourse this week.
They have just opened a base in PMQ with the J41 doing the evening runs to CFS - BNE - CFS - PMQ until they get more staff.
Currently have 4 Captains and 2 F/O's checked-to-line with 1 F/O in training and 1 Captain waiting on a base check. The latest course has 3 Captain's & 4 F/O's.
At present there are 2 full-time Captains authorised to conduct line training, only one is check and training (both are based in CBR). There is also 1 Check and Training Captain on loan from NZ for the next few weeks.
The third & fourth J41 are schedueled to arrive early - mid next year.
The company should be moving into its new $1 million hangar within the next 3 months.
The loads are pretty good and often have the max of 30 pax. Most are military, business and government regulars.
The J41 looks like a real pleasure to fly. All of the pilots that are currently flying it are singing its praises, especially when it overhauls the Dash 8 200 & 300's in both the climb and cruise.
Overall, Brindabella seems to be a great company to work for with a close knit family feeling about it.
