The only way they would save money would be if they now have too many trainers. Which is kind of hard to believe.
Each trainer would do less training, so they would need more trainers which means they have to pay more to train those trainers etc i.e. more cost not less.
It may be a welcome break from the continual grind for trainers to have this month off and help with the retention of long time trainers as well as provide more capacity for increased training loads when required. This may help reduce the requirement to out source training and shorten the time required to train crew which is where they would save money.
The month that you don't train will probably be your top bid month so you will get to fly where you want, receive more flight pay, overtime and or have more time off. You wont be training so you wont get paid training allowances, so what! If your finances are in such a poor state that you can't cope with it you need a lot more help than anyone on pprune can provide.
