I think there are only opportunities for the manufacturers. With increasing fuelcost, return on investment for new aircraft must rise since they are so much more fuelefficient then old generation a/c. The healthy airlines will want lots of them.
With regard to cancelled orders for bankrupt airlines; they don't get the bargains and then they wouldn't have the money to buy them anyway, they're all leased.
That's where the pain will be: leasing companies. Some clients bankrupt and cancelling orders and other clients returning old generation a/c which will be worthless as well since the deserts will be full of them.
BTW at worst it's a rerun of 2001/2002. They survived that.
