SFO: COCKPIT OF CARGO PLANE CATCHES FIRE AT SFO
SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BCN)
The cockpit of a cargo plane caught fire while parked at San Francisco International Airport tonight, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The fire was reported to the FAA at 10:18 p.m. on Abex Boeing 767 Flight No. 1611, FAA spokesman Bruce Nelson said.
The plane, used to transport cargo, was parked at Plot No. 11 in a remote area of the airport when the fire was reported, according to Nelson.
It was unknown if anybody was onboard the plane at the time of the fire, Nelson said.
