I don't think so, as there are a lot of other units up there from other corps, but it doesn't look good. Estimates is that closing 7 Regt will save £1m per year, which isn't much in the big scheme of things. Meaniwhile there is no one placed to do the tasking that they used to before, so the UK will have to sustain a capability gap - for Homeland disaster relief and security as much as getting people from A to B and ABFACing.
