The person writing it has made all the proper suggestions, but there appears to be some resistance - for example, getting rid of statements such as "rotational relative airflow", which is way too much for a beginner's book.

It is officially one person at the moment, but he has friends

As it may well be rewritten completely from scratch, all your notes and comments will be OK, as there will not be that much extra work.
