Roland - yes you are. On AFPS 05, if you leave before 55 you get an early departure payment or EDP which is roughly 1/2 your preserved pension until 55, then 3/4 until 65 then the full pension (and a second gratuity).
However, some people still benefit under AFPS 05 due to it taking into account service before age 21 and other things which unfortunately don't apply to me!
