Isn't the fixed u/c on the Cirrus a result of
a) cheaper (and quicker) certification and
b) being an integral part of the BRS ?
I vaguely remember reading an article about this (not a company brochure) some years ago, when Cirrus first came out.
Would certainly look better with wheels up, but hey, if you fly it you don't see them
