I was given the choice of the practical test or going to the Melbourne and going through their series of tests. In the end I was advised that I would have a better chance of passing the tests in Melbourne because they would actually see the exact colors I couldn’t see and the extent of my vision issues. I called up the tower at ysbk on a wet day and asked if they could flash a few colors at me from the taxi way, the guys up there were top blokes and were happy to help. I could see them with no worries at all so I just gave the practical test a go.
