HvyDrvr you forget to point out that prior to the Postmans foolish purchase of Airborne and its subsequent move to ILN that Astar also known as DHL Airways was the SOLE provider of airlift for the DHL network in the US since its inception. (also wholly owned by DHL and its US affiliates).
Prior to the ABX deal - DHL US was breaking even and making a little bit of money - it was the Postman's desire to grow the US market the easy way that has brought about the demise we suffer through today.
